Brands & Rights 360 has recently closed an agreement with Zinkia for the worldwide distribution of Pocoyo. The company will offer the fourth season, premiered on YouTube and available for linear channels too.

Pocoyo is one of the three most important preschool projects for YouTube worldwide, reason why the platform has decided to co-produce this fourth season.

Ignacio Orive, CEO of Brands & Rights 360, informed that they have closed agreements with two strategic partners of the sector: Ken Faier from Epic Story, who will lead the strategy in North America (USA and Canada) and Ray Wang from Reesee, who will be in charge of the development of the strategy in Asia. Both have worked for many years in the sector: Ken as top management in DHX and Ray in Alpha Toys.

The three have recently toured New York and Los Angeles to meet with the main TV channels, digital platforms and toy stores to present the international re-launch and the brand’s new strategy.

Orive stressed that the relaunch of this series supposes mainly: the premiere of the fourth season on TV and the depth rethinking of merchandising and the existing toy line. The specialist Kevin Mowrer made an in-depth analysis of the play pattern, to extract virtues and characteristics of the series and see which are applicable to toys. Additionally, the first negotiations on the production of the fifth season took place.

“I think it’s a very nice challenge with great potential,” he said.
